Products

Don't worry, this is an easy one! Your pen is fine, the ink refill is likely the issue. Try these three things: One, wipe down the tip of the ink refill in case any fuzz or lint is stuck in there—any debris stuck on the tip will affect the ink output. Two, scribble on a piece of paper in circles to help the ink flow. Lastly, double check the tip to make sure the ink refill hasn’t been dropped and broken. We always recommend keep your Squire closed in a sheath or pen stand when not in use.

Our Copper and Brass Squires both naturally develop patinas, something many collectors cherish. If you prefer your pen to stay bright and shiny, a commercial brass cleaner will work to restore the luster.

All of our notebooks are specifically designed for ideation. This means that our goal is to have a large amount of pages per book, as opposed to only a few thick pages. We have found that our paper works well with many fountain pens, depending on the nib width, flow, and applied pressure.

We recently started releasing new colors to our notebook lineup, in addition to our two classic colors, Charcoal and Light Gray. We started with the most popular size, Flagship, and paper types, Dot Grid and then Ruled.

Our leather Guardians are made with vegetable-tanned, full-grain leather, the highest standard in the market. Full-grain leather is not buffed or sanded to remove natural imperfections, so there may be small marks that come from the process of making this product. This is completely normal!

The Guardian has a few variations! The Guardian Confidant is specifically designed for the Confidant in Flagship and Plus. The Guardian Vanguard is for the Pocket Vanguard only. Fits are not universal between notebooks.

Excellent question! The Squire, Squire Click, Guardian, and Manifesto are all made in the USA. The Confidant, Vanguard, Archer, and Squire, and Squire Click Refills are made in Taiwan, Portugal, and Germany. The bags are made in Vietnam. All of our products are designed in New York City.

We apologize that we’re unable to offer these services at this time. Most of our goods get shipped from an automated warehouse, making personalization unfeasible. However, all our products come wrapped individually and with attractive packaging, making them gift-worthy as is; and pricing and payment info is excluded from all packaging materials.

We pride ourselves in shipping your orders as quickly so that you have your goods as early as possible. The window to alter your order is short, usually less than one business day, and, depending on the time of day you order, it may even be packed up and ready to go within hours.
